What happens if Spotify doesn't have a song from my chosen date?

Spotify has the largest library of songs of any streaming service. In the rare event that it doesn't have a song for a particular date Just a song will replace it with the nearest alternative - this is usually the number 11 song from the same date and year. In our experience approximately 99% of songs are available so this is a rare occurence and doesn't detract from the fun one little bit!

Do i need anything else for Just a song to work?

A compatible smartphone is required. Basically any Apple or Android smartphone will work as long as you can downlaod and install the Spotify app.

I keep scanning the wrong code, do you have any tips on how to use it?

Just a song is very simple to use but you can only scan one code at a time. If you're having difficulty scanning your desired track try the following:

Hold your smartphones camera very close to the desired tracks code
Press the CAMERA icon in Spotify
Slowly move your smartphones camera away from the code until it comes into focus - it will then launch and play the desired track.
